Can you hear it?

Although, I wish she were happier in this clip (she was sooo sleepy), you can still see Livvy's little wave and hear a sad "bye-bye". (or am I the only one to hear it?) Mommies always understand their own babies better than anyone else, that's for sure! :) I think my resolution is set way low on my camera- sorry about that, but I couldn't resist the photo-opp. When she started waving to me tonight to get my attention, I had to grab my camera. Maybe soon, I can catch it again when she is all cute and giggly, because she really is the happiest baby most of the time! I also think her first tooth is about to emerge. She is a little sensitive and fussy and cries when she bites on things. Poor baby, but she is still the sweetest! Oh, and BTW, pardon the baby talk. It just comes out that way...

Hear me out!

I had to post this video taken tonight because Livvy has become so vocal and will out- scream us. We think it's pretty funny. She also waves and says hey and bye-bye now too, but doesn't like to perform that very well on video. Which is sooo sad because her wave is the cutest! At one point in this clip, you can tell she almost says bye-bye, but then I think she decided that screaming is more fun! I guess you have to be loud now to be heard in this house with 4 kids! Sorry if the image is not so clear. Don't know why about that.

What a onesie :)

I think this is the cutest onesie! If you can't read it, it says "Someday I'll demand a pony". Too cute! (I think the baby is too!)

Happy Birthday Braydon!

It's so hard to believe, but Braydon was born 9 years ago today! I've been reflecting some of the special memories I've had with him as my sweet son. I couldn't be more proud of him! I remember when I was pregnant with Braydon and being a week overdue and wanting him to just hurry up! I was so sad with each passing day of no labor signs! Then finally when I felt it would never happen, labor did start and finally Braydon made his debut. Braydon's name wasn't even one of our choices, but by some act of fate, Wade and I, both, independently knew it was his name when we saw him. I still have always wondered why that was meant to be his name. I do love it! He is just such a Braydon! I remember the now cherished days of his babyhood when I couldn't even stand for other people to hold him! I wanted him only for myself and was such a mother hen! He was such a cute baby and so good too! I did quickly spoil him into thinking that he had to be held all the time! It's no wonder that he didn't walk until he was 14 months old, but he could talk like a kid much older. Braydon has always been so sweet (except for his biting stage!) He is such a smart boy who loves to read and explore. He loves his teachers and they love him too. He has really set the bar high in our family because he is so hard-working, responsible, organized, neat, studious, funny, smart, and cute!!! :) I feel that he is such a special spirit with important work to do and I continually remind him that Heavenly Father sent him first for a very specific reason. He is no doubt a leader and a good one too! He is a good friend and brother and son! I still miss those days sometimes when all my time and attention was on him! Regardless of the financial sacrifice, I am forever grateful that I got to stay home with him! He is growing up so quickly! Crazy to think that in this amount of time again, he will be graduating high school! Braydon has truly been a joyous child. I feel so blessed to be a mom, and his mom at that! I hope he always knows how much I love him and how I look forward to sneaking more kisses from him after he falls asleep every night.
Here are some pictures of my sweet Braydon today on his 9th birthday. I think it was a good day! Wade took him and a couple of cousins and friends to see the new star wars animated movie and then back home for cake and ice cream with family & friends. Nothing big.
So, here is my tribute to my sweet son! Happy Birthday Buddy!

Latest Chaserisms

The other day Chase and I were driving in the car and he was telling me this long story about a conversation he had with Braydon. I'm listening along when the following statement took me off guard.
Chase- "I said to Braydon, What the...?!"
Even though it was followed by no profanity or expression (we only use clean language here or so I thought) , I still felt it was a little brash. I said,
"Chase? That didn't sound very nice, bud."
He replied in an obvious tone, "Uh, Mommy, What the? is a really good thing to say."
What's a good comeback to that...
anyone? :)

On a sweeter note ( lets redeem him a little bit), I heard him say to Sommer a couple of days ago,
"Sommer, I just don't know how I could live without you!" so sweet!

You know what happens when you cook lamb's wool?
You get grits. :)

One day we came home from church and Chase got a popsicle out of the freezer. Wade told him he couldn't have it until after dinner. He promptly went back to the freezer, got 2 more popsicles and brings them to us, in the sweetest voice says,
"Here's one for Mommy, and one for Daddy."

Wade- " Chase, are you giving us one because you think then we'll let you have yours?"

Chase- "That's what I'm all about!"

LOL

Wade went to get a fly off of our ceiling and Chase said, "Oh, I thought that was a hole walking across the wall."

One of the cutest things we love hearing from Chase is when he says, "No offense, but I love you!"

None taken. :)

Last one!~ Wade took him to the grocery store the other day and they passed some chicken patties. Chase said, "Whoa! Those are some huge chicken nuggets! I would never eat huge chicken nuggets!" Wade asked, "why not?" Chase replied in a shaky voice, "Because they might make me CRAZY!"

My Baby

Another month has come and gone, so here is Livvy on her 7 month birthday playing outside in the wagon. She is so aware and alert and playful! What a sweetie. She just wants to go now, so the wagon was a good symbol for this month's milestones. I am just so thankful what a happy, healthy baby we have. She is such a joy! As are all of my kids. I just try to document these baby moments a lot because they change so fast at this age. I am already amazed at the difference in pictures of Livvy from just a few months ago! What a lovable sweetheart she is. And so much fun! She's a big time mama's baby lately, and that's okay with me! :)
