So many milestones!

This month little Livvy Brynney has met a plethora of of milestones! She is so cute and funny. At her 6 month check-up, she weighed 13 lbs, 8 oz. -- exactly doubling her birth weight. She also was 24 inches in height (or lack of, lol). That put her in the 9th percentile in weight and the 3rd or so in height. What she lacks in height, she sure makes up in personality. She has the sweetest smile ever! She has been waving to us and you can tell she is so proud of herself for this accomplishment! It kindof goes like this--We wave to her, she looks down at her hands, fingers start moving and she waves with both hands and then she smiles soooo big and giggles. She also has been crawling and can really move fast! She started pulling up too. I left her in her bassinet for as long as possible. It was so nice having her right next to me in my room and she loved her bed so much! And so have I! It is round and provides a little more room, I think, than a traditional bassinet. Well, one night, I laid her down and she immediately pulled up on the side and stood up. I grabbed my camera and just watched as my baby literally grew up in that second. So, to the crib she went-- in her room. It still makes me tear up to think about because I miss her! So far, she actually is waking up more often too. I guess it is going to be an adjustment to all of us! She has learned to call for "mamamamama" when she cries or sees me and I can't pick her up that minute. She doesn't say it for Wade or anyone else- just me. It is so sweet! She is eating baby food now and really likes all the food. The only funny face she ever gave me was for apple juice. But she loves her veggies. Next week we start Kindermusik, and I am so excited to teach her Village class! The curriculum is Zoom buggy & Dream pillow and they are so cute. It is going to be soo fun! Hopefully I can get someone to take some pics throughout the semester while I am teaching. I'm also teaching the toddler and preschool age classes, which Chaser will attend me. Well, that is Livvy's 6 month in a nutshell. We sure love her! Isn't she growing up fast?

Chase's first day of preschool

The kids all started back to school this week, including Chase, who started preschool. I'm still working on the other kids' scrapbook pages of their first day, so I will have to post them individually. Chase was sooo excited to start preschool. Before we left home, I told him the story of the Kissing Hand- a young raccoon starts school and worries about leaving his mom so she fills his palm full of kisses. His little storage of kisses can be used throughout the day whenever he misses his mom by pressing his hand to his cheek. After I told Chase this story, I took his little hand, looked him in the eye, and told him that I was going to kiss his hand and that if he missed me, he would have a whole hand full of kisses from me. Without missing a beat, Chase replies, "Oh, but I won't miss you." I had to laugh. Thanks a lot Buddy! He did have a great time at school. I am so glad he has something just for him!

Sommer Brooke

If there is one thing I am very passionate about is that my children not have "things", but opportunities. I want them to cultivate their talents and dreams. As a kindermusik mom and teacher, I've see firsthand how beneficial these moments are that impart inspiration and sageness. I believe in the gifts of education, music, dance, art, and sports. I want my kids to find out who they want to be and believe that they can be that person! Plus, I want them to have fun along the way! That's my kindof my job as their mom. :)
Here is my little Sommer Brooke, beginning her dance experiences. She's already my little star!

My Girls

Can't really sleep tonight, so here I sit passing the time. I rarely get the chance to do this when everyone is awake anyway, so I should be thankful for insomnia. :)

Livvy Brynne 6 Months

Chase is 4 years old

My little boy is not so little anymore! I can't believe he is 4 years old! July 29th was his birthday. We have had a fun & busy week celebrating with both sides of the family. The families have grown so much it is easier to have separate get togethers. That way Chase can spend quality time with each side too- lots of cousins. We really are lucky in that way! Chase is so fun to have in our lives & family. Without Chase, life would certainly not be as entertaining and fun! Chase has taught me so much about parenting- like the fact that some kids make you feel as if you are starting from scratch! All preconceived notions void. But that is okay! I am better for it. I love ya forever, My Chaser Racer. :)

Happy Birthday Chase!
