Sleep walking?

Last night Livvy fell asleep in her crib.  A couple of hours later, this is how we found her- asleep in a laundry basket full of clothes (on hangers none the less! Ouch!)  Don't really know what inspired the "move", but we had a good laugh over it! :)

Easter 2010

Finally posting some Easter pics of my family. It took a while since our weather was so miserable during Easter.  Our first opportunity to get out the kids didn't really want to pose for pictures.  They decided it would be more fun to catch snakes.  Yes, this is Livvy holding a real live snake and she loves them!  Crazy to me!   But all of my kids love them!
I made the girls dresses this year and it was a lot of fun!  With 7 years between them, it is sometimes hard to find matching dresses, so it worked great to make them. Plus, I just loved this fabric! I hope I can make it a tradition. :)

This is my favorite picture of the girls (above).   Candidly sweet.

Daddy loves his baby girl.  And she Loves her Daddy!

The boys were outfitted by the ever-wonderful Tar-je' (target).

All About Braydon

I have been needing to post some much deserved recognition to my sweet boy Braydon.  I am so proud of him!  He is so good, so cute, and so smart!  I feel so blessed to have such a smart and responsible son!  He recently recieved a Superstar award at school for academic and extra-curricular achievement.
I was also such a proud mama when he paricipated in the 4th-6th grade spelling bee.  He is only in 4th grade, so one of the youngest, but he finished 8th place and was the last 4th grader and the last boy standing (for quite a while too!)  When he missed his word, he caught himself immediately, but couldn't retract his mistake.  He still knew lots of words like:
triskaidekaphobia
(fear of he number 13) LOL.
We were so proud of Braydon and all of his efforts!

He also just recieved Best of Show in the Pinewood Derby for a car he did mostly all on his own (since wade was busy with finals!)

And here is the Cute cake he made for the Blue and Gold Banquet for Scouts.  Sommer told me last night at the ballpark that there was a girl at the concession stand that didn't have enough money for her purchase and Braydon went up and gave her some change that he had.  That made me so happy that he would be kind and help someone.  He always is a joy in our family and I love my first born so sooo much!

If I had a wish...

It would be to look this cute in a hat!

Cut to the Chase

A day with my little Chaser is...

never boring,

full of entertainment,

and sometimes he ignores me.

He can be a little wild,

but every day with him is always very, very sweet!

Family Home Evening Lesson

Wade recently gave this beautiful lesson to our kids and they all were so interested!  It started out just on a night we were looking at the stars. He shared with us this great analogy about the sun, moon, and stars. I even learned a lot that night, and so I decided to type up the lesson so I didn't forget and the kids could use this as a lesson again sometime.  I decided to post it in case anyone would like a new FHE lesson. :)  I know I like it when I come across something new.  Even Livvy was so attentive and was repeating some of the things she learned.  So sweet!
The only thing lacking is an activity, but there are lots of things that could be done that have sun, moon or stars, etc.  These pages are saved as jpeg, so they will just print like any picture.  You can save it by right-clicking on the image, if you wish!

Snoozing in the bathtub

Livvy is pretty good with using past-tense words, but she's still figuring out some of them.  Last night in her bath, she sneezed and then said,  "Whoo!  I snoozed!"
We all thought that was pretty cute!

Birthday Surprises

Celebrating another birthday isn't all bad. :)  Wade took me to The Cheesecake Factory on Friday Night.  I got super yummy dulce de leche cheesecake.
He also surprised me with a new bike and trailer. I am so excited to be able to ride with my kids and get more exercise this summer!  I really have been wanting one but certainly didn't expect it.  Wade is so sweet.  He always does so much for birthdays.  He has such a big heart and I know he loves to make me happy!

I love it!  I think it is so cute!  I just love the color!  We have gone out on 2 rides so far and Livvy giggled the whole time.  It made me so happy! Today we went for a long ride all over town and around the pond. So fun!  (And a little exhausting too.  I am so not in good shape, yet!) It's still so chilly here, so I am so ready for it to warm up!  But, at least the sun was shining today. And the snow was melting!

I also want to give credit to my friend and neighbor, Natalen, who made me these darling cupcakes.  Ya can't make something so cute and not have it displayed somewhere, right?  They were so delicious too!  Just as good as they look!  Some people are so creative!

It's a good thing I got a bike with all the sugar I have been consuming!  Hopefully I can at least balance it out!
And I am so thankful to all my friends and family that gave me a phone call!  That really does make a birthday the best- just being thought of!  Thank you!

The Best Birthday Cake

This morning my kids made this cake for my birthday.
(All by themselves)

Could there be anything sweeter?
