11-22-44-66

I've always thought my dad's birth date was really kinda neat~
11-22-44.  And today is kind of a special birthday since he is turning 66.  I guess I just love numbers and love it when they are even like that! ;)
I got this picture of him and his sister, Gayle, a couple of years ago
and I love it.  So sweet.

When I was little, my dad always called me, "Melizard".  Now every time I hear lizard, I think of that.  There are also lots of funny stories about my dad and me from when I was little- like how my mom used to dress me up like an Indian since my dad thought I must have another father out there somewhere that was an Indian. Apparently, I was a very dark baby, especially when you compared me to all my very blond siblings.  Actually, I took after him and not my mom. But, I am sure there were many times he wished he could've pawned me off on someone else.  I also spoke my mind to him.  None of my other siblings would do that.

Here is a photo with my dad, stepsister (Dana), and stepmom (Glenda- who is the WORLD"S Greatest stepmother!!! Seriously!!!)
Anyway, Happy Bday Daddy!  I look forward to the significance of #88!

True Story

The other evening, I was talking to the girls in bed, winding down.  We were having a fun conversation with Livvy about her babies, etc.  So, I asked her again what she wanted to be when she grows up.  She said a mommy and a doctor
(well influenced by her cousin)
Sommer then asked Livvy, "Do you know what I am going to be when I grow up?"
Promptly Livvy replied,
"A Hobo."
And I'm still laughing over it.

The Domestic Goddess of this House (Hint: It's Not Me!)

                                             It's Livvy!

These pictures are so typical of Livvy taking over my household jobs.  She is only 2 but she already can unload the dishwasher all by herself and put it all away (of course I'm an arm's length away!)

She loves her babies soooo much!  Most of them are named "Charlie", but she has a Skye and Daisy too.  Anytime we go anywhere, we have to pack them all up too.  She and I have some struggles about who needs to sit in the carseat.  She wants to buckle her babies.  When I tell her she has to, she gets upset and says that she is the Mommy!

She is so smart and sharp as a tack.  She doesn't miss a beat and is quick to correct the other kids when they are not doing something right.  It's kinda nice having someone else on my side! :)

The other night my neice was over and was pretending to be a doctor.  Livvy looked at her with the most proud smile and exclaimed, "I AM A MOMMY!"
I am so happy that she thinks this is the greatest job, because it really is!

I Love Where We Live~

Here are a few reasons:
We went up the canyon to take in the Autumn beauty and have a very casual, candid photoshoot.

Braydon at an altitude of about 8000 feet. Stunning!

Our little Sweetheart, Sommer.

I just love this handsome guy- even if he is being loved by two beautiful girls. ;)

I sure love candid moments like this one.
Livvy is one very happy girl!
Amazing beauty!  I just want a build a house right here!

Oh Braydon~ My heart breaker!  I can't get over his handsome little face.  And he is just, oh, so smart.  I am so proud of him!  He amazes me daily!

This is a favorite of mine of Livvy.
This picture is so Chase. Always on the go... Always has an agenda.

My beautiful daughters... messy hair and all.

Wait... I think this is one of my favorites. ;)

A clear shot of Chase!  I love it when this happens!
I love this one of Sommer.  I love her huge smile! :)
Livvy looks way too big here.  No longer a little baby.  :(  Now she's really a little girl.  And she talks like she is 8- keeping everyone in line.  She is so funny.

All my ducks in a row.

Sunday Sweetness

I took this photo of Livvy sitting in the fall leaves yesterday after church because she just looked so pretty in her dress.  And this Autumn has been quite beautiful as well!  I still have lots of fall pics to go through and post, but I just instantly fell in love with this one.  I am so thankful for cameras.  Aren't you?

It Was a Dark and Stormy Night...

The night started out calm, but got a little hairy!  Lots of rain, hail, thunder and lightening.  Thankfully, our ward moved the trunk or treat indoors to the church. I think my kids all looked so cute, albeit, grown up!  Livvy was a baterina; Chase was Tiny from Dinosaur Train (We ordered Don, but got the wrong costume- trying to convince my 6 year old to wear the "girl" dinosaur was not an easy feat, but he conceded.  What a good boy!); Sommer was a sailor/ navy girl, and Braydon was Link from Zelda.  Since Wade had to hand out candy from the fire dept. the park, he was going to be in his turnouts, so I decided to go as a kitten.  It was an easy one! :)
Christina and Aaron came over dressed as Wemmicks from the book You Are Special.  (How clever she is!)  They were covered in dots and stars.  Too cute!
We all had a good time, but I'm glad it's done too.
