While Mommy Rests...

I recieved an MRI last week and while trying to follow my Dr.'s strict orders to "take it easy" to heal my herniated disc (or as I like to call it- Inferno-ated disc), this is what my baby has been doing. Please be aware that this happened in a matter of minutes, therefore "resting" is out of the question. My floors were also decorated at the same time. Wow! Isn't she festive?
This is how I interpret LOTS OF REST- Lie in bed all night long with no comfortable position to be found. It’s also helpful to have little one massage your back by kicking you as hard as they can. Eventually sleep on the very edge of the bed, hoping that if you fall off, maybe you will hit your head, be knocked unconscious and therefore, have a respite from the pain.

And here is how she dresses herself. I actually think this part is dang cute. especially her "shirt" skirt.
I know every mom deals with these things too. I just have an abundance of mishaps to deal with these days it seems. I must be feeling a bit emotional because last night, Wade and I were watching "Cheers" and Diane got stuck in a heating vent and I started crying and didn't stop for about an hour. Am I pathetic or what?
But, regardless of what I am feeling, there is no place I'd rather be. I love my family- messes and all.
Please pray for me that I won't need surgery! I'm trying to avoid it if possible.

Looks like she was quite a busy body! Logan likes to do stuff like that sometimes too. I hope you feel better soon and that you won't need any surgery! Try your hardest to "rest" even though every Mom knows thats an impossible task!

Oh my friend!

No fun at all. Well SHE is fun...but your back, I'm guessing not so much. I too love the outfit she chose. My kids have all done the "shirt for skirt" thing--who knows, maybe they're onto something!

I will pray my little heart out that you won't be needing a surgery. I guess that's what you get for working those hips like Shakira girl!

And I won't forget about sweet Braydon. What a good, good boy he is! Smart is an absolute understatement. But I get that you're in "humble blog mommy" mode.

Your family is so cute! I miss seeing your kids, but I love every chance we get to see eachother! Take care of yourself and I hope your back is as strong as you are spiritually once again, very soon.
